We present to you the best art sight that currently exists in our game World of Tanks. This is a unique mod for artillery called Battle Assistant for WOT 1.6.0.0, which has a half-sniper half-artillery aiming mode. By turning on this mod, you can throw shells and at the same time look from the side at the enemy tank and see the real trajectory of the shell. That is, with its help the player can see for sure whether he can hit the enemy tank or not. With it, it is easier to target the enemy behind houses, behind hills, and in general it becomes easier to understand the trajectory of a flying projectile. The sight is simply ideal for precision art, where the spread is not very large (for example, for Object 261 or any French art). It helps you avoid hitting screens, harps, and just about anywhere, namely, aiming at those places where you want to stick the projectile to the enemy. Experienced art experts highly praise and recommend this mod; they say that they used to bend it, but with it they began to bend it even better. This mod is not prohibited; the administration of the World of Tanks game knows about it. Moreover, this mod took first place in the category “Best Game Modification” in a competition held by the developers of the Wargaming company called “WGDC”. This time we will pay attention to a special type of sights - specially designed modifications for ART-SAU. This type of mod belongs to sight for artillerymen "Arti (ST)" for WOT 1.6.0.0.

Artillery sights stand apart from all the sights that are used as modified ones, and artillery fans prefer these modifications, since they mainly play on ART-SAUs. On the one hand, they need a high-quality and detailed art sight, on the other hand, in terms of a sniper sight (for tanks), what is installed by default is enough for them. It is in this case that special ART sights come to the rescue.

Exactly what is needed

It’s worth noting right away that art sights are not always successful - some authors, in the pursuit of originality, try too hard, which ultimately leads to distortions - they either oversaturate the sight with functional innovations, or, in the pursuit of originality, they make the graphic aspect too ornate and complex . It follows that the sight must be made both beautiful and functional, but at the same time it should not be excessively beautiful, that is, there should be exactly as much content as is needed and no more.

Beautiful, moderate and informative

In principle, this set of preferences acts as a litmus test for choosing the optimal art sight, since such a set of rules is fundamental.

From the point of view of the picture, the sight should be clear, with optimally selected colors and contrast, so that too bright colors do not tire, or too dark ones do not make the player sad. All inscriptions and indicators should also be clearly visible, since in battle we don’t always have time to look closely, everything should be clear, simple and understandable.

In terms of information content, a measure must also be observed - there should be plenty of information, but only within reason, so that the player does not get lost in the jungle of information trinkets.

So that you can more clearly understand what criteria you should listen to, let’s list them:

  • Dynamic and digital recharge indicator;
  • HP indicator and fragment scattering circle;
  • Shell counter;
  • Indicators of the distance to the target and the time of approach of one projectile;
  • Nickname/tank type in sight.

In my opinion, these are the most important criteria, that is, with them, the modification of art sights has everything necessary, everything that is more than this, the type of angle at which the gun is currently raised, is just a pleasant addition without which your game will not suffer in any way.

It’s not without reason that we listed the most important criteria and described what a good art sight needs, and that’s exactly what the “Arti (ST)” artillery sight is, which is why I liked it - it has everything you need, and there are no unnecessary “whistle-stars” which are of no use, and now let’s move on to the debriefing.

Dynamic and digital recharge indicator– these values ​​​​show how much time is needed to reload and how much is left before charging if you fired a shot a little earlier.

HP indicator– an indicator showing how much HP the tank has or has left at the moment, allowing you not to be distracted by the damage panel.

Circle of scattering fragments– an area around the center of the sight that is slightly different in tone helps to understand what the radius of damage from fragments is and to correct the aiming at the desired point.

Ammo counter– like the HP indicator, it duplicates the capabilities of the damage panel, and in this case, the icon panel;

Indicators of distance to target– shows how many meters are left to your opponent, helps you make the right lead, and for those who are too lazy to figure it out in their minds, there is the following indicator: %.

Time of arrival of one projectile– shows how many seconds the projectile will fly to the selected target, which allows you to take a lead (especially effective against slow targets).

Nickname and tank type in sight– I would classify this item as the least useful, but for those who have difficulty determining what kind of tank they see in the art sight mode, it is suitable. In any case, you can roughly understand what kind of armor this opponent has and what potential damage he can suffer.

Sight for artillerymen "Arti (ST)" for WOT 1.6.0.0– is an example of balance, moderation, coupled with a fairly high degree of clarity, graphic execution and the availability of the necessary tools. So we can classify it as a sight for artillery guns, which will appeal even to those who do not like to use modified sights at all.

  • Now even with artillery you can switch to sniper mode. Not very useful, but quite funny.

  • The ability to fly across the entire map during battle has also been activated. All thanks to the free camera built into the mod.

Now I will talk about what keys to control the mod.

If you are on artillery, then activating the sniper mode, as on regular armored vehicles, is done by pressing the "T" key (English).

You can turn on the artillery sight on a standard tank by pressing the "Y" key.

The kit also includes a free camera that can be activated during battle. To activate, go to arcade aim mode and press the "G" button. You can control such a camera in the same way as a regular tank, intuitively.

Every tanker, even a beginner, knows that in order to receive the coveted credit necessary to upgrade your war horses and acquire other improvements in the game, you need to show yourself as best as possible on the battlefield. The amount of silver received by the tank after the battle will depend to a large extent on the skills of the tanker himself.

So how can you defeat an enemy tank? How to cause the most damage to him, and maybe set him on fire?

It seems natural that the best outcome of the battle depends on the capabilities of the tank's sights. Having a clear sight, you can shoot down an enemy vehicle with the least amount of shells. The sight that is installed in the pure game client, i.e. standard sight leaves much to be desired. A player with a standard sight (if he is also a newbie) is doomed to defeat in battle with opponents using improved sights for artillery.
Numerous modders are hard at work creating more and more modifications of such an important component of the combat process as the artillery sight for World of Tanks.

Unlike a standard sight, artillery sights developed by such advanced tankers as Kirill Oreshkin or Jove will show the distance to the target and reload time or other things that will be no less important. It’s hard not to agree that the improved sight will be an excellent help in battle, even for an experienced player.
