I bought such a mobile printer for my phone from Aliexpress. They can print any pictures from the screen of your smartphone, as well as photos. Basically a useful thingif you want to save a photo not only in digital format, but also on paper. The parcel went 3.5 weeks to Moscow. Packed well. Everything is whole. The box looks expensive. The printer is whole, the paper is already in it.

An interesting printer, it can print text or a photo, there was no adapter for a European plug, the printer only works with its own program, you need to download it from the manufacturer's website (website in Chinese), for work you will need a home WI-FI router. The printer does not connect directly to the phone. Before buying this printer, I found instructions for connecting, because it is very difficult for an ordinary person to figure it out, and there is no sensible instruction for it, but good people put it in contact.

Such printers are very helpful when there is a need to print something here and now, whether it is a working document or photographs, but there is no stationary unit at hand or its purchase is impractical.

Brother PocketJet 773

The most expensive portable device in our selection - Brother PocketJet 773 - allows you to print full-fledged A4 documents and at the same time has dimensions of only 25.5x5.5x3 cm, that is, it is easily carried in one hand, and also fits in a bag or briefcase. Its mass is only 480 g, stationary models with such dimensions simply do not exist. The printer is designed for use in the so-called mobile offices - an ordinary user is unlikely to want to pay about 70,000 rubles for this model. But for sales managers or logisticians, the device will come in handy - you can print, even if you just place it on your lap.

PocketJet 773 connects to other devices via Wi-Fi, but it is possible to use a wire the old fashioned way - a USB 2.0 cable is included. The printer also supports Apple AirPrint and works with Android devices. It uses thermal printing technology (black and white): the print is stable, the resolution is 300x300 dpi, but special paper is needed.

The inkjet model from Epson is classified as a laptop printer - it is larger than the previous device, but still it can be called compact compared to stationary devices. The dimensions of the WorkForce WF-100W are 30.9 x 15.4 x 6.1 cm. The printer can print on A4 sheets and runs on batteries. When closed, it looks like a rectangular box. There is no tray for printed sheets - it was sacrificed in favor of compactness, leaving only a slot, so a flat surface is required for normal operation. The printer has a small display to show current information, and is controlled through the panel next to it.

The battery lasts for 2 (2.5 hours), you can charge the printer via the USB port (only when the device is turned off) or the supplied adapter (in any condition). The print resolution is 5760x1440 dpi, and the printer is refilled with black and color cartridges - 4-color printing .The black cartridge is enough for 250 pages, color - for 200.

The device connects to a laptop via a standard USB cable, but you can do without wires - the model has a Wi-Fi module. It also connects "over the air" with mobile devices on iOS or Android - you just need to download the Epson iPrint application to send documents for printing.

HP OfficeJet 202 Mobile Printer

This color inkjet printer is comparable in size to the model from Epson (36.4x18.6x6.9 cm), but it is heavy - its weight is 2.1 kg. However, the device is still classified as portable, because it runs on battery power. The battery is fully charged in 90 minutes with HP Fast Charge technology.

The device also prints documents in A4 format without any problems at a speed of 9 ppm in black and white and 6 ppm in color when running on battery power. When connected to the network, the speed increases slightly. The print resolution is 1200x1200 dpi and 4800x1200 dpi respectively in black and white and color. The HP OfficeJet 202 also supports duplex printing and works with photo paper - you can display photos of 10 x 15 cm in size. The wireless module quickly synchronizes with a PC on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, but the printer does not work directly with mobile devices - in our opinion, unfortunate omission.

Fujifilm Instax Share SP-2

The Share SP-2 Wireless Photo Printer produces images almost instantly (in 10 seconds) and is already the second representative of the Fujifilm Instax printer line - from the 90s to this day, the company has been producing instant cameras under the same name. By the way, in October the third generation of the printer with the ability to print square images was already presented, but the SP-3 has not yet gone on sale, so let's talk about the Instax Share SP-2.

The model looks like a small box that can be easily put into a pocket or bag: its dimensions are 13.2x9x4 cm, and its weight is only 250 g. The battery lasts for 100 prints, and it is fully replenished in 90 minutes. The printer connects to a mobile device via Wi-Fi (there is support for Apple AirPrint). Each of the cartridges is enough for 10 pages, but consumables are not very expensive.

Pictures are clear and bright due to the use of OLED technology for exposure, resolution of 320 dpi, JPG and PNG formats are recognized. Of course, with such dimensions, the printer cannot produce large pictures: the maximum print size is 46x62 mm, so it is suitable for those who like to simply capture moments on paper. By the way, pictures can be processed in the Instax Share app for iOS and Android - there are many templates available with which you can add the date, time, weather, etc. It is also possible to print photos from Instagram or Facebook with comments and likes.

Polaroid Zip

Polaroid Zip is another miniature photo printer from a manufacturer of instant photo printing devices. A device with dimensions of 12x7.4x2.3 cm and a weight of 190 g is enough to print 25 photos on a single battery charge. The device connects to a mobile device via Bluetooth or NFC (there is no Wi-Fi module here) and quickly prints 5x7.6 cm photos. To do this, you need to install a proprietary application on your iOS or Android device. In it, before printing, you can apply filters and pre-process the photo.

There is no question of professional photo printing here either. But the printer is interesting using Zero Ink Printing inkless technology: there are no cartridges at all, just ZINK Paper “paper” is used as a consumable. This is a thin sheet of material with dyes. Turn on the printer, electricity is supplied to specific points of the paper, they heat up and the desired shades appear on the sheet. "Paper" cools down - the image is shown completely. The new model of the famous line of photo printers from Canon differs from the previous devices in the series with an enlarged 2.7” to 3.2” touch screen and a couple of new features: Party Shuffle for making a collage of photos from multiple devices at once and PictBridge for printing directly from the camera. It uses sublimation thermal printing technology: in addition to durability and good quality prints, this also makes it possible not to worry about the condition of the cartridge while carrying the printer - it can be shaken and turned over without consequences, which is important for a portable model.

The battery is enough for about 50 photos, if you wish, you can purchase a mobile battery (it costs about 4,000 rubles). The maximum image size is 10x15 cm, resolution is 300x300 dpi. The print will be ready in 47 seconds. In addition to professional photo printing, the model allows you to display pictures in the format of a photo booth (photo for documents).

The CP1300 easily connects to all devices via Wi-Fi, but you can also connect it via USB 2.0, and insert an SD card, there is still support for Apple AirPrint. Only the device to be paired needs to install the Canon PRINT app. By the way, in it you can increase the brightness and clarity of prints, pre-crop pictures, and clear the background of visual noise.

Kodak Photo Printer Dock

Kodak this year released two compact photo printers, which they decided to separate by compatibility with operating systems: the PD-450 for Android devices and the PD-480 for iOS. In Russia, these models are not yet sold, but you can order them from abroad for $140 (about 8,400 rubles). A distinctive feature of Kodak printers is the ability to use them as a docking station for recharging a smartphone.

Models work with cartridges that combine sheets of 10x15 cm photo paper and sublimation tape - the principle is similar to that used in Canon Selfie, so the printer can also be shaken and turned over as your heart desires. One cartridge - 40 shots, so consumption is economical. And the photos are clear, the colors are stable - they are not afraid of water and fingerprints.
