Mass ban for using cheats in World of Tanks. List of banned players in World of Tanks When will cheaters be banned in wot

Most likely, you are already aware that after today (October 15), and most likely it will be on Monday, October 17 (since no one works on weekends), Wargaming is preparing a large-scale ban of accounts for using prohibited modifications. We found several different versions of what was happening: from World of Tanks warnings to permanent bans of absolutely all accounts using cheats. Let's figure it out together.

How many times have accounts been checked for prohibited mods:

So, there has really been a lot of news lately about the banning of World of Tanks accounts and it’s time to weed out some of the fakes that were invented by schoolchildren who came home from class.

A micro update came out a couple of days ago

"On October 11, one of the game's micro-updates added an informer to the client. In the wot_9.16.11312_9.16.11080_client.wgpkg file you can find the account.def file. It contains the following information:

Autobahn time. Warning level. Clan ID. Session tracking. Python logs.
So, if you used cheats after the 11th, then you will be banned. If not, delete them until the situation becomes clearer."

January fake.

Check for cheating when entering the game

“There is an insider from reliable sources that the system will work for about 5 days. The system is automatic, when entering the client it will check the player against a previously collected database of cheaters, which was leaked.
Today a patch was rolled out in connection with this, so if anyone is afraid for their account, don’t log into the game for N days (there is no exact information on when they will turn it off)"

most likely fake.

What do the developers say on this topic?

Twelfth wave of bans February 20, 2019

2 weeks ago Wargaming banned only clan players, but today they ban others too. Everything is the same as always, a warning (blocking) for 7 days or a permanent ban.

What mods are considered prohibited?

There is always a list of prohibited mods on the forum.

Let us remind you that we recently published a story about someone who used banned mods for 8 months in a row and is not worried that he will be banned.

Hello friends, today I would like to talk about the topic of bans in the game World of Tanks. As you know, information has appeared on the Internet that the developers will block players who used various prohibited modifications of the client. Bans for cheats in wot are generally an expected decision and tank players fully support the Wargaming company in this regard. Moreover, other large companies do not hesitate to mercilessly cut down players. If you look at how Blizzard blocks 50,000 - 100,000 cheaters at a time in its games. It becomes clear that this is normal practice in the gaming industry.

Why did the topic of bans for cheats in wot 2016 appear in the month of October? Leaks from developers have appeared on various social networks. The fact that they have collected a fairly large base of players using various cheats in World of Tanks. Moreover, these can be completely different modifications, starting from different aimbot sights, and downloading cheating modpacks.

Many players from World of Tanks are familiar with the picture when you stand behind cover and wait for your opponent to come out. He, in turn, rolls out, immediately gives a splash and goes back behind the house or embankment. On the one hand, this can of course be attributed to the enemy’s skill. But when such tricks are pulled off by, let’s face it, statistically weak players, you can’t help but wonder how? Moreover, it is very difficult to make an accurate shot at 150-300 meters, while rolling out and directly at a protruding pimp. And this is not to mention the fact that a person can repeat such a trick 3-4 times during a fight.

A ban for cheats in world of tanks suggests itself for this kind of players. After all, if you let go of the situation, then no bans in tanks for cheating will save the situation. And people using prohibited modifications will feel at ease in our favorite WOT game.

In turn, our editors have little information about, for example, a database of cheaters using Warpak.
The Wargaming company has been collecting for a couple of years now :), so people who think that they can get away with anything are mistaken.

The timing of account blocking will be completely different, as rumors suggest. Of course, people who used prohibited modifications for, for example, 2 weeks, a month, most likely will not be permanently blocked. But what will happen to everyone else is not yet clear; how the severity of the offenders will be assessed remains a mystery.

Initially, information appeared that bans for cheats in World of Tanks would begin on October 15, then the date was announced as October 20. In general, it is not completely clear; perhaps it will be November or December 2016.

Express your point of view, friends, on this issue, we would be interested in reading your thoughts. How do you see future games after the mass shootings of readers in wot. And what do you think of this promotion from Wargaming? Perhaps we have ideas on how to effectively deal with such players? How do you feel about custom modifications of the game client?
Maybe you have additional information on this issue? Video with commentary? We'd love to hear your opinion!

We will monitor the situation and look forward to the outcome of what is happening.

The World of Tanks is filled with many different players, both polite and respectable, and those who are aggressive towards other players and brazenly violate the rules of the user agreement. The second type of people often ends up on the list of banned players in World of Tanks, or more simply put, banned.

There are plenty of reasons to get banned and there is no need to be wary of them. You can’t get banned by accident; to do this you need to deliberately break the rules. Complaints from other players greatly help speed up the road to the blacklist. In this case, each complaint will be verified, but on a first-come, first-served basis.

The more complaints there are against one player, the greater the chance that he will take his place on the banned list.

The most popular reason for people going to the bathhouse is offensive behavior

Normal players will not tolerate rudeness, swearing and dismorality in their direction. Insults in text chat are simply screenshotted and attached to a letter of complaint, which is sent to technical support and they decide whether to ban the player or not. With each complaint, the chance of being blacklisted increases.

The second most popular reason is the use of cheats

Players who are too lazy to master combat techniques simply download prohibited programs, which, roughly speaking, play for them, showing good results at the end of the battle.

Complaints are also often sent to technical support about such players, and the client himself has some protection from such programs, but any protection can be bypassed and the attentiveness of the players can be considered an additional wall of defense. This also includes programs for hacking silver, gold and experience. Their client is tracking much more actively, because mountains of gold and silver that appeared out of nowhere look more than suspicious.

Simply put, you can’t sell, buy, donate, give away, let them play for a while, use the services of more skilled players to increase account statistics, and many, many other things you can do with your account that can cause your account to be blocked, but all these actions are listed in the user agreement.

Players who are on the list of banned players in World of Tanks can be seen on the forum, in the “Crime and Punishment” topic. The topic is updated every month, if a player's name appears in the list several times, then he was banned for several reasons or several times.

Belarusian development team from Wargaming For a long time and persistently she proved that there are no and cannot be cheats in their game - there are only bots. In this case, a reasonable question arises - what are the mass bans for then?

Cheating

Cheating(from English to cheat- cheat, cheat, cheat) - the use of specially created or modified programs or equipment in online games to gain an undeniable advantage over other players.

And so, the story is in the spirit of the best spy action films. For a better understanding, it is better to start by listing what is currently known:

  • there is such a creator of prohibited mods (cheats) as uragan1987;
  • not so long ago, he created an excellent modpack, which had a paid version (it cost 300 rubles), which, in addition to other prohibited mods, contained a unique cheat;
  • this mod showed all opponents in real time, even those that were not lit;
  • the other day, many users of the build received a permanent ban, which is surprising, because Wargaming’s fight against cheats was only a myth until recently;
  • In the end, users agreed on two options - either Wargaming, after the micropatch on the 25th, was able to track the users of the modpack, or uragan1987 received enough money from potatoes and leaked all the users of his build to the developers.

Let's find out!

The new cheat is probably familiar to players who follow the news (they wrote about it). In short, popular mods include a function for tracking the position of allied tanks. This information is transmitted to the modmaker’s servers and if there is such a player on the opposite team, then you will see where all the enemy equipment is located. The coolest cheat that completely breaks the balance, just imagine!

It looks like this

As you can see, absolutely all tanks of the enemy team are shown on the minimap.

Some time after using the modpack, mass bans began from the developers. In the modpack support thread, swearing begins and uragan1987 writes the following response (click on the picture, a window with the full version will open)

Wargaming acted with unusual grace - the IP address in the modpack files was simply replaced and all the data was not merged to the modmaker’s servers, but was sent directly to the developers!

But this is only one way of development of events; some users suggest that uragan1987 received a sufficient amount of money and drained all the buyers of his assembly. This, of course, is a blow to the reputation, but this option should not be discounted.

By the way, it turned out that other creators of cheats for popular games are also involved in calculating the location of the enemy team. I am publishing screenshots of a mod that is under development, which shows the position of the equipment regardless of the light. But so far it is not freely available.

Lounging at a wide polished table, the owner of all VoT - SERB - lordly examined the head of the balance department, Krivulkin, bent in an obsequious bow.
Having had enough of admiring the slavish pose of his subordinate, SERB nodded blissfully and beckoned him over with a gesture. The massive leather chair quietly crunched under the broad, bossy butt, releasing the occupant from its embrace.
“Well, well,” the SERB rumbled royally, approaching the unfortunate Krivulkin.
- We have a brother - the New Year is just around the corner. Money - you understand - needs to be cut at an accelerated pace, but your department is doing something wrong...
“In what sense is it wrong,” Krivulkin bleated pitifully?
- In which?! Scoundrel! – instantly enraged – the SERB threw a massive crystal ashtray at his subordinate – but fortunately, he missed.
- Sales department – every month – new premium is sawing! So?
“Yes,” Krivulkin nodded plaintively.
- The marketing department actually came up with a trick. It's called "VyGy Fisting". Party with WoT - tickets only for money. Well, they wrote that visitors would find out the main surprise on the spot.
- What's the surprise - yours? – Krivulkin giggled obsequiously
“So it was announced at the Moscow Super City Tower,” SERB said condescendingly
- Well…. – the balancer became interested
- So, as of December 1, this tower will be closed for repairs. The sucker guests will come - and there - Surprise! – SERB exploded with laughter.
“Hee...hee...hee...” the subordinate shrilly supported the boss
“You haven’t presented any ideas yet,” the Chief suddenly became stern. – There is never too much money!
“Yes, there is one idea, Your Grace,” Krivulkin, squinting his eye, moved closer to the ear of the Highest.
- State it!
- Ban cheaters! Well, let's say - from October 15!
The Czech hiccupped. The round face instantly filled with bad blood and the commanding roar shook the walls!
- Yes you!!!....Yours...!!! How….! How did this come to your mind? Who will be left in the game then? Poor freeloaders, you and I?!
“I won’t be left either, looking shyly at the floor,” Krivulkin drawled.
- Even so? – the SERB drawled with some surprise. Although….- I won’t be left either. If you ban me too, then I will leave! I'll go to Tundra. Here!
“Well, actually,” Krivulkin whispered in a whistling, obsequious whisper, “of course we won’t ban you.” To put it bluntly, we don’t have the capacity – look for cheats. We’ve only been promising this for 6 years.
“What then?” SERB arched his eyebrow in surprise.
- Well, what, let’s take three or two thousand bots, dead souls... Well, those who have been fighting for us for three years have not played tanks. And - to the ban! On the site - victorious reports. Profit!
- What is the profit? – SERB said in bewilderment?
- So successful 45% businessmen will raise their donation by 2 times. Well - at first. They think that cheaters are to blame for their status! And now they - without cheaters - will become WOW! Well, at the same time they buy all the junk in the premium store, and prem acc too.
- So…. – SERB drawled with interest
- And by the 15th we’ll be throwing all sorts of junk into the store. Well, there are some kind of “Toldi” and there’s a whole mountain of “Schmalshturmov” in the warehouse.
- Well done! Can! Here!,” SERB, with a lordly gesture, handed Krivulkin a personal glass of golden drink.
A stream of Buratino bubbles hit the nose of Krivulkin, who was leaning towards the glass.
“Well, well, don’t suck it all up, leave it to others,” the SERB rumbled good-naturedly, “Well, go, go.”
The massive oak door closed behind the head of the balance department with a soundless “swish.”
And outside the window it was raining and leaves were falling.
