New driver - 10% higher performance in WOT?
To check, I used an old proven method - the Fraps program. I have already written in detail about how I conduct such tests in the article about (you can also find the configuration of the hardware on which the testing was carried out). Let's see what results can be achieved this time by simply updating the video card driver.
I conducted three groups of tests, in each of which I skated 3 battles:
- performance test with old driver;
- performance test with the new driver;
- test with the new driver and overclocking the card using MSI Afterburner.
To reduce random influence factors, all tests were carried out on the same settings and on the same tank (IS-3).
1 test, old driver
- 26,57
- Average maximum = 45,33
- Average minimum = 13,33

With the new driver there is indeed a slight increase in performance, but slightly less than stated. In my case, not by 10%, but by about 6%, which was what was warned about (differences in hardware and configuration). But the maximum and minimum values have become lower. This is reflected in the fact that FPS began to fluctuate less and became more stable.

By the way, the developers carried out significant optimization of the game, which had a positive effect on performance. Even for many players, FPS has increased very noticeably. Together with my instructions, patch 9.1 should fly!
