Penetration calculator for 1.6.0.0!

Due to popular demand, we have added a digital penetration calculator that can be installed on top of any information. We finally managed to make it compatible with P-mod and, accordingly, with all modpacks that use it. It is located in the “Digital Penetration Calculator” folder; you can install it on any information, even standard. It will look the same everywhere.

Setting up the location of the penetration calculator:

  • If you need to move it somewhere, you can do this in the \World_of_Tanks\mods\configs\ekspoint\mod_reducedArmor.json file if you do not have P-mod installed.
  • If you have it installed, then here is \World_of_Tanks\mods\configs\pmod\reducedArmor.json

One of the most important gameplay elements in World of Tanks is the sight. For a long time, the standard sight in the game was primitive and had extremely limited functionality - it did not even have high magnification and an armor thickness indicator. Therefore, to make the game easier, modders developed dozens of new sights of various types and shapes, containing various improvements and additions. The appearance of the aiming circle and crosshairs changed, ammunition numbers and other useful things were added. To this day, this type of modification remains one of the most popular among players.

Artillery sights

First of all, depending on the class of equipment, sights can be divided into two groups: for self-propelled guns and for other vehicles. The standard game sight for self-propelled guns was and remains quite simple, and enthusiasts have developed several good modifications. First of all, it is necessary to note the “Sword of Damocles”, which provides the player with data on the range, time of flight of the projectile, UVN mark and radius of scattering of fragments. Another good artillery sight is the Taipan, which, despite the seeming oversaturation of information, can be very useful.

We cannot ignore the famous Battle Assistant - the most serious modification of the artillery sight in recent years. It completely changes the look of a standard scope, making it look like a sniper scope. This allows you to look at enemy tanks slightly from the side, allowing the artilleryman to assess the approximate trajectory of the projectile. It can be a significant help on maps with structures in the form of arches and bridges, allowing you to aim under them and throw a projectile there, which is difficult to do with a standard sight. Despite the fact that the developers introduced their analogue of the Battle Assistant into the game, many players still use the installed modification, since it gives a better viewing angle and contains several other useful and simply interesting things, such as monitoring a projectile in flight.

Sights for tanks

Now the standard tank sight has been developed a little better than before, some useful features have been added, but nevertheless, thousands of players continue to play with the modified one. Some people have simply gotten used to the interface, while for others the capabilities of a standard sight are still not enough. Modifications differ from each other both in functionality and purpose. For example, the improved standard sight adds only a few indicators to the existing information, and is itself quite minimalist. And the “Sword of Damocles” in its “tank” version has a redesigned graphic animation of reloading and an indicator with numbers showing the thickness of the enemy’s armor in the place where the player is aiming.

Some time ago, modifications from well-known watermakers such as Jove or Vspishka were common. But now most of the functions of these sights have been transferred to the game itself, and their relevance has been lost.

And another type of mods are simply original graphical changes to the interface. Basically, they do not stand out in any way, but simply change the appearance of the sight, adapting it to the tastes of the player. These include, for example, “Binoculars”, a Battlefield-style sight or a Hardscope set. The latter are made in the style of real tank sights and look very good.

Installation

There is nothing complicated in the installation; the procedure is exactly the same as for most other modifications. You just need to download the archive with the mod and copy the mods folder to the game folder, confirming the replacement. You can download them on our website; the latest versions of all current sights are collected here.

  1. In the game client, go to the res_mods folder, then to the folder1.5.0.4.**
  2. There create a folder gui, in it a folder scaleform
  3. Copy the flash files of the sights to the scaleform folder.

Description:

While analyzing the needs of tankers for mods, we came across requests for a gun aiming timer and began looking for a mod to solve this problem..6.0.0, which, regardless of what kind of sight you have or whether it is installed at all, will display the following information on the screen:

  • gun aiming time in seconds;
  • scatter depending on how much you are reduced;
  • projectile flight time for both artillery and simple tanks;

We present to your attention a completely redesigned and improved information timer from the original author of this mod. The mod was rewritten from scratch and supplemented with new features. Now the text displaying information has become more readable.

Added the ability to enable timer displays for certain events, for example, target acquisition, adding additional information when aiming at a target, and so on. Soon the author will add an option to display the mix timer only in art mode, but for now it is only available in the old version. It looks like this now:

Oddly enough, having installed this option, we did not notice any drop in FPS. In addition, it adds the following features that are not present in the 2 previous versions:

  • the total aiming time after the last movement of the gun (that is, you zoomed in, pulled the gun, and the second number in the aiming timer will show you the total aiming time after the last movement of the gun. It will be different each time, because one time you can greatly confuse the aim, the second time less and etc.)
  • the speed of movement of the target that is in your sight
  • new accuracy indicator
  • ability to edit displayed text using HTML tags

Now you can always know how much time you have left until the gun is fully aimed and what the spread will be if you fire before it ends. This information will help you more accurately assess the situation and successfully carry out attacks. Also, the aiming timer mod will be useful for most art sights that do not have projectile flight time. Overall the mod has fairly good utility in combat.

It, like most modern mods, has a settings file with which you can configure what information is displayed and what is not, change the font and color of the text. It is located along this path: WOT\mods\configs\ekspoint\mod_ExtraAimInfo.json, in it you can configure the following:

  • type of aiming timer in each sight mode ("TextFlashArcade" - arcade, "TextFlashSniper" - sniper and "TextFlashStrategic" - art sight);
  • enabling the timer to be turned off in each of these modes ("enable": true or "enable": false);
  • configure the appearance, size, font, shadow, text color ("text" block: () and "shadow" block: ());
  • insert any picture as a background for the text (block "background": () for each sight separately);

FAQ.

Additional config from NooBooL

Although the developers are constantly improving the game, various elements of the combat interface still remain not very convenient. For example, mixing in all shooting modes. The green color of the information quite often blends in with the vegetation at combat locations; it is also not solid, which is also very inconvenient, and its design cannot be called attractive. In addition, there is no penetration indicator, but only a marker, by the shade of which you can sometimes determine the thickness of the armor at the convergence points.

Now it will be much easier to change the mixing if you download the presented collection. In it we have collected 26 different versions of information for every taste and color. Starting from the most basic to the most sophisticated with many additional functions.

To make it much easier to find the required information, they were divided into two groups:

Information with the breakout indicator:

  • MR_TEZ.
  • OverCross.
  • BioNick.
  • demon2597 (Taipan 2).
  • Marsoff.
  • 7serafim7.
  • qwe111111.
  • Wiff.

Information with the penetration indicator and calculator:

  • Mixing with text indicator.
  • Information from Billroy.
  • Deegie Sights.
  • Dickey93.
  • Minimalistic Sights.
  • Harpoon.
  • Hybrid.
  • Information summary.

Important additional information

The downloaded archive contains screenshots of all the information, so you can carefully review it and choose the optimal solution. If you want the indicators and reservation calculator to function as efficiently as possible, taking into account the given armor, then you should install this modification on top of the information - the given armor calculator mod.

Penetration calculator for 1.5.1!

Based on many requests from players, we have added a digital penetration calculator; it can be installed with any information. Now it is even compatible with, and therefore with all available ones. It is located in the digital penetration calculator folder.

Setting up the location of the penetration calculator:

If you need to move it somewhere, you can do this in the file \World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.9.x\scripts\client\gui\mods\mod_reducedArmor.json if you don't have P-mod installed.

If you have it installed, then here \World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.9.x\scripts\client\gui\mods\mod_pmod\reducedArmor.json.

This collection contains more than ten excellent information for the sight, created by different authors.

Description of information for sights in WoT 1.5.1.1

They consist of several elements - a targeting marker, information and a reticle, and in some cases the authors add additional information, for example, the angle of entry of the projectile. But often the main thing in a sight is the convergence, since it occupies the largest area on the screen. In this assembly you can find information for every taste: different colors, visual designs, reload animations... Each player will find an option that suits him.

Experienced users will probably be familiar with the names: OverCross, Fatality, mixing by Marsoff and other popular mods that have been supported by the creators for many years.

But why are they created at all? The thing is that the standard information is not very informative, and on some maps the green color simply blends into the landscape. And the reload animation is not too noticeable. These problems can be easily fixed using mods.

Let's look at some of the presented mods:
