The target is captured, you have to set the target aside. Solving the auto-aim problem in WOT

With this sight, the effectiveness of a tanker on the battlefield will increase several times, because cheating capabilities give a huge advantage over the enemy.

Review

Just a few years ago, no one would have thought that a lot of cheating modifications would be created for World of Tanks, but now there are a lot of them. One of the main such mods are auto-aims, which provide the player with a lot of possibilities. Now you don’t have to wait for the enemy to appear in your line of sight to capture him, you don’t need to frantically calculate the lead, the auto-aim will do everything itself!

  • Capture targets located behind obstacles. Without a cheat, you can turn on auto-aim only when you see the silhouette of an enemy, but now you just need to right-click near the enemy and the aim will automatically take the target. Even behind cover!
  • Automatic anticipation. The standard sight does not calculate lead at all, because it always looks at the enemy tank, but the option from Sae allows you to hit even a fast-moving tank. The mod itself switches between melee and ranged combat modes.

  • The most useful feature is the choice of the point where the sight is looking; the function is implemented in the form of an alternative mode, which can be turned on by pressing ALT + right mouse button. In this mode, you can select a specific point in the enemy’s armor, for example, a turret, rollers, or side. The mod will remember this point and will try to hit it when firing. But there is one small drawback: when you activate the alternative mode, the two previously listed functions are disabled, so you have to choose what is more important to you. I advise you to combine it with this auto-aim to immediately see the weak zones of enemy vehicles. Or you can use it, then the enemy will have little chance of survival.

In some cases, when several enemy vehicles are close at once, a problem may arise with unwanted auto-aim switching to another tank; if this happens, press the E key, which disables aiming.

The most effective technique is a simple technique. As a child, I thought that the hip throw was pathetic and ineffective. It's either a heel to toe thing. However, it’s enough to do it in full force, not putting your training buddy down on the mat, but throwing the Gopnik with his spine or head onto the asphalt - and you understand that this is a lethal move.
The main thing is to develop skills to the point of instinct.
It's the same with auto-aim. Well, anyone will say that this is for noobs, folders don’t shoot like that, etc. However, the auto sight has several working methods of application, the main thing is the operating time and timely use.

Part one

1) We destroy the “firefly” in front of the base. In principle, this method is applicable in any other case, but this one is the most typical. “Firefly” – if anyone doesn’t know, it’s a machine that reveals your presence to the enemy team. The simplest scheme of its action is to move along your base. Particularly dexterous ones can even move along the base itself, but this is a special case. This technique is good for tanks, but works worse for self-propelled guns. We click on the “firefly” with the right mouse button and stand. We are waiting for him to start turning around. I’ll make a reservation right away - that the position must be clearly thought out - otherwise you will be removed earlier. If you are not in the vanguard, make sure that you do not block the line of fire. So - the sight follows the target. Wait, estimating in advance where the firefly will begin its turn. As soon as the position of its longitudinal section is directly on the flight line of your projectile, fire a shot. It should be noted that this method works for cases where the target moves on the same plane as you. If a “firefly” rushes from a mountain, and you are on a plain, the situation is no better than moving along.

2) Difficult maneuver while maintaining aim. This technique is relevant for vehicles with a slow turret rotation. Sometimes difficult terrain requires tight control of movement. However, the enemy may unexpectedly jump out from around the corner, while your barrel will be pointing in the wrong direction. Moreover, he will look exactly at what direction the barrel is turned - fortunately, the virtual camera allows this. To avoid this problem, first enable auto-aim on the main target, and then perform the maneuver by switching to third-person view mode. When the position is occupied, proceed to manual guidance.

3) Carousel. A method suitable for high-speed cars opposing slower ones. It consists of constantly circling around the enemy without stopping fire. Manual guidance here is almost impossible, therefore, turn on the auto-aim as you approach, and fire shell after shell, controlling the road. Remember - an unplanned stop in such a situation is certain death.
The main thing is to make sure that they don’t do to you what is described in paragraph 1.

4) Chase. Again, this is a technique for light and fast cars. Remember that one of your tasks is to fight enemy “nimble guys”. They will definitely strive to highlight your positions. You, as a fast car, should both highlight the scout and try to inflict maximum damage on him. Try to position yourself in the stern of it. This will protect you from friendly fire, and increase your chance of causing damage to the enemy. In this case, fire is fired only from the auto-aim. The same applies to the one who is being overtaken.

5) He went out and disappeared. The stupidest decision in a firefight is not to take advantage of cover, but to rely on the thickness of the frontal armor. Even if you are heavy, a regular LT has a chance to damage your weapon. As a result, long-range combat will become inaccessible to you. True - it should be mentioned that this tactic works best in the sandbox - the guns there are fast, and the opponents are thin and flimsy. So, aim at the enemy and turn on the auto-aim. Fire a volley, and immediately hide behind cover, a little before full reloading, you leave again, so that by the time you peek around the corner of your guns, you have already completely reloaded. Why in advance? Yes, so that the enemy does not have time to reload and you, if necessary, have time to aim. So - you leave, salvo, you leave. He will try to answer, but most likely it will be too late - you will hide. Then you drive out again and fire again. In the sandbox, I alone made 7-9 frags with this technique and kept entire directions. The enemy there knows no fear, and is often inexperienced.

The techniques are as simple as five cents, but they work.

Part two

Players are mainly divided into 3 categories:
1) They shoot only with auto-aim, and keep quiet.
2) They shoot only with auto-aim, but right and left they say that they shoot only with manual aiming, and only noobs use auto-aim.
3) Those who know what and when is best, and use this knowledge in practice.

My experience of fighting on completely different vehicles and in different styles helped form my opinion on how to balance these two methods.

If you don’t know yet, by clicking the right mouse button when pointing at an enemy tank and a red halo appears around it, the gun switches to auto-targeting mode, with the exception of Art SPGs in top view mode. This is a very convenient and practical feature. From this moment, the gun begins to follow the selected target until it is either destroyed, or disappears from the field of view, or you stop tracking, or in the case of an Art SAU, you switch to the “view” mode above".
In the case of a tank, moving the object causes the turret to rotate. You should be careful here - sometimes a heavy weapon, distracted by a nimble gun and forgetting about removing the auto-guidance, finds itself in a situation where the gun is turned diametrically opposite to the direction of advance of the main enemy forces, and the rotation of the turret is very slow.
In the case of a tank destroyer or artillery destroyer, the situation may turn out to be even worse - at small angles the gun can also turn, but when these angles are exceeded, it is not the turret that turns (with rare exceptions in the form of the SU-26), but the entire hull of the tank, exposing your board to the one who follows the scout. Vehicle movement has priority, so pressing the movement control key for the entire duration of the press will pause the rotation of the self-propelled gun towards the selected target.
First rule: Don't forget to turn it on and don't forget to turn it off on time.

The peculiarity of the auto-aim is that it selects the conditional center of the target as the aiming point. This is his main weakness. The center is not always the optimal aiming point. Every machine has its own pain points. In addition, the center may be the least vulnerable point. In addition, it is better to aim at a moving target with a larger correction than at the center. However, if the target is so far away that the sight circle is wider than the target itself, a shot at the conditional center is most optimal.
Second rule: Evaluate how logical the aiming point is. If you can hit a more vulnerable area or increase the chance of a hit, switch to a manual sight.

Due to the peculiarities of the game mechanics, the auto-aim knows more precisely where the target is now. On the monitor you see sharp, jerky teleports from point to point (this can be explained by the work of the server), and the auto-aim moves smoothly regardless of the picture.
Third rule: If you are unsure of what is happening with a distant illuminated enemy vehicle, turn on the auto-aim - it will tell you. If the car is moving, the sight will move; if not, it will remain in place. Firing at a car moving at a long distance perpendicular to the direction of fire is a futile task.

Firing on the move is the domain of fast reconnaissance vehicles with cheap ammunition and fast reloading. A slow enemy will not be able to keep up with you, you will be able to remain invulnerable for a long time. But an accidental stop caused by an obstacle is almost certain death. This is where the auto-aim comes in handy. You turn on this mode and conduct continuous fire, calmly watching the road and the enemy’s gun.
Fourth rule: it is better to fire at high speed from rapid-fire guns using an auto-aim.

As already written, the auto-aim uses a certain center of the enemy vehicle as its aiming point. When fighting on difficult terrain, this can play a cruel joke. You will shoot at an obstacle, and not at a caterpillar peeking out from behind a rock, or a tower sticking out over a fence. Once I managed to hide from a shot from a 130 mm cannon behind a column as thick as the caliber of this gun - I noticed that the enemy’s barrel was following me differently than it does with manual aiming, and stood so that the column was between us - he demolished it.
In addition, when you use external vision, you can see the enemy and target him. even if it is over the hill. You will realize your mistake too late.
Fifth rule: In difficult terrain, manual guidance is preferable.

The popular game World of Tanks has a very useful option - auto-aim. When you point the sight marker at an enemy tank and press the right mouse button, the enemy vehicle is auto-aimed. Now you can ride around, and your cannon will automatically aim at the center of the enemy tank. This is very useful when spinning an enemy, when you need to focus on maneuvering, when avoiding opponents and shooting at them while turning the gun back, as well as when capturing an enemy vehicle in auto-aim before leaving to shoot from behind cover. It is also worth noting that when aiming at an enemy tank in this mode, there is no desynchronization between the player’s sight and the so-called server sight (the server points the sight exactly at the place where the tank is located), which significantly increases the accuracy and effectiveness of shots at distant stationary targets. In general, experienced players skillfully use this opportunity, which helps them shoot more damage and, therefore, win more often.

The target is captured, there is a need to set the target aside

Unfortunately, when using this option, many players often encounter the following bug: “The target is captured, there is a need to set the target aside,” which means that the auto-aim immediately flies off when it is activated, and sometimes you have to capture the target several times until the auto-aim works. Imagine a not very maneuverable tank (TT, PT, SPG) when a LT or ST comes at it and starts spinning, and at that moment the player’s auto-aim does not work, which is very useful in this situation!? Causes of the problem and its solutions As you may have guessed, I had exactly the same problem - auto-aim resetting when activated. On the official forum of the game you can find several topics where players complain about exactly the same problems and, as a rule, everywhere the problem is attributed to incorrectly working mods. Are fashions to blame? I don’t know how large the percentage of players are who have this problem due to the fault of mods (I’m not one of them), but after they are completely removed from the client, problems with auto-aim do not disappear for most tankers. However, some scope mods may cause this issue. To check if this is true, simply remove all mods from the game client. You can do this as follows. 1. Turn off the game client 2. Go to the game folder 3. Find the res_mods folder in it, in which you need to find the folder with the current version of WOT and delete everything in it P/S Just do not delete the folder itself with the name of the current version of the client, otherwise WOT will not start! Folders with the names of old versions of the client can be completely deleted, this way you will remove unnecessary unnecessary garbage from the client. 4. Launch the client without mods and try using the auto-aim option. If the problem goes away, one of the mods is to blame; if not (as in my case), it's not their fault. Change your mouse! The most ordinary computer mouse, apparently working without any problems, was the reason that the auto-aim I took flew off very often. The reason was discovered by chance. A few days ago, while working on an Internet site, I noticed that when I right-clicked on a web page, the context menu sometimes immediately disappeared, as if I immediately made a second left-click on the page. The analogy with the auto-aim in WOT immediately caught my eye, which was immediately reset, as if a second click had been made. Replacing the mouse with another gave a wonderful result. During the third day of playing WOT, the auto-aim did not fall off even once! Many people use the same mouse for work and play, usually the cheapest one. That's right, why pay more if there is no difference for working on a PC. But, unfortunately, cheap mouse models do not always work correctly in gaming programs. Using a sight in the game World of Tanks is one of the important tactics during battles, and if this sight is also capable of automatically calculating weaknesses and highlights of opponents, it generally increases the percentage of victories, which may not please players. There are a huge number of amateur modifications on the Internet where you can use auto sights. Among many players there is a constant debate about which auto-aim is best for world of tanks, since each of them has its own feature, we will highlight a few of them for you.

Auto-aim from SAE - blocks your account

A modification that anticipates attacks from enemy vehicles, which will allow you not to be exposed in hot battles. One of the main features is the ability to lock onto a target even behind obstacles; just press the right mouse button to aim at the target even behind cover. Let us remind you that without the cheat you can only distinguish the silhouettes of the enemy, but the chance of hitting was almost impossible. The second feature is the possibility of anticipation, because the standard sight is not designed for this at all, since it looks at the tank only in the line of sight, and with the cheat you can even hit fast tanks, which increases the chance of hitting the target, because switching from close combat to the far occurs automatically.

Auto-aim from Vanga - leads to blocking of your account

With the release of new WoT updates, errors and shortcomings are corrected, and more functions are added. It got its name due to the fact that it could accurately calculate the weak points of opponents. It was possible to calculate by contours, by flight path. The sight had the ability to capture targets both close and beyond line of sight.

Aimbots are a PROHIBITED MODIFICATION of WARGAMING, which we do not recommend using.

During the existence of the auto-sight, hundreds of its modifications were created by various craftsmen, their functionality remains virtually unchanged, with the exception of different interfaces. All of them help improve your hit rate, which will affect the overall outcome of the game.

Auto sights can be downloaded either individually or as a set of modpacks. However, you should remember that before you choose which auto-aim is best for world of tanks, they are officially prohibited for use by the Wargaming administration, so you need to be extremely careful to avoid blocking your account.

This cheat mod can improve the standard automatic aim in WoT. With this modification you will shoot ahead as it calculates the speed of the enemy tank as well as the distance to it. This will make the gameplay a lot easier.

In addition to smart anticipation, the mod has the ability to capture a target that is located behind obstacles, for example, behind a building or hill. Another modification is capable of selecting a specified point on the enemy’s armor. This can be activated using the Alt + RMB combination by aiming the crosshair at a specific location. Like many others for the game, this one is in good demand.

Cheat for auto aim download

This cheating modification, like many other similar mods, is prohibited for use by the developers. So you can get your account blocked for it. To avoid a ban, the creators of the cheat advise not to share screenshots and videos from the game.

To install a cheat on auto-aim, you need to download the file and extract the scripts folder from it to the address: /WoT/res_mods/[update folder], agreeing to the replacement. Now you can launch the game and try playing with the improved automatic aim.
