Description:
This small modification will allow you to replace the standard loading backgrounds, roulette wheel, main menu background and startup screensavers with new ones.
The archive contains 3 sections:
1.Replacement of the roulette wheel (one option);
2.Replacement of the main menu background and start screens (three options);
3.Replacement of the loading background (three options).
Each replacement option contains two folders:
- the first is the “Data” folder, it will need to be copied to the game folder.
- the second is the “jpg” folder, in it you will find source images of screensavers in .jpg format for reference.
Brief description of contents:
Changing the roulette wheel is just one simple option, replacing the wheel with a radiation icon.
Replacing the background of the main menu and startup screens:
Desert - atmospheric desert art;
Thunderstorm - art on the theme of post-apocalypse;
Neutral - neutral theme with the original "Fallout new vegas" icon.
Replacing the loading background:
Art - various art on the theme of Fallout (the whole world, not just fallout new vegas), as well as art on the theme of post-apocalypse, close in spirit to the world of fallout;
Girls - cosplay, art and drawings of girls from the world of fallout;
Realism - the most “realistic” art (if one can say so about a fictional world), footage from videos and films, cosplay and various recreated objects from the game.
Peculiarities
The backgrounds were made for a monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, that is, the resulting aspect ratio was 16:9. If your monitor has a different ratio (resolution), the picture may be distorted (this has not been tested due to the lack of another monitor).
Installation:
Copy the "Data" folder from the replacement option you like to the folder where your game is installed.
Removal:
Delete the files you copied. Attention! It is recommended to remove exactly the copied files from directories such as:
"...\Fallout New Vegas\Data\Textures\Interface\loading",
"...\Fallout New Vegas\Data\Textures\Interface\Main",
and not the entire "Textures" or "Interface" folders.
Introduction
IN Fallout 3 when loading the game, the developers used about 65 various images presented in the form of slides, successively replacing each other in random order. It is quite possible that some of you would like to stylize some image in a similar style. This article is intended for you. Used as software Photoshop(tested on version CS 9.02).
Step #1
First you need the necessary pictures.

IN Photoshop open the photo being processed (an example is shown on the left).

It is advisable to make the image brighter. To do this, select a bookmark "Image"(Image), select from the drop-down menu "Correction"(Adjustments), then click on "Exposition"(Exposure). You can also experiment with color.
Step #4
Now you can start layering. Insert picture #1, stretch it to half the size of the entire canvas. Overlay Type – "Hard Light"(Hard Light). Then we make a mirror image of the image for the second half of the canvas.
Step #5
We do the same with image #2, overlay type – "Linear Dodge"(Linear Dodge).
Step #6
We stretch the third image in proportion (since it is designed for wide formats), apply a layer overlay type "Linear Dodge"(Linear Dodge). If you did everything correctly, the end result should look something like what is shown on the left.

If anyone wonders: why is this collection of background screensavers needed? After all, there are already quite a large number of similar mods. The answer is simple - I did not find a single replayer of the Bethesda Softworks and Obsidian Entertainment start screens at the beginning of the game loading. And if you compare it with the above-mentioned background screensavers from Nathanchik, I didn’t notice any problems on the minimum game settings.
