How to install and uninstall Samsung Apps on your Smart TV. How to install and uninstall Samsung Apps on a Smart TV Constantly asking to update Samsung Apps

The Android operating system and all programs downloaded to Samsung from Google Play are configured by default in such a way that when updates are released, they are immediately installed on mobile devices. This has not only positive, but also negative aspects, since downloading new files bypassing the user can lead to a high consumption of Internet traffic. And the latest versions of software do not always work stably. Therefore, let's look at how to disable automatic application updates on Samsung Galaxy.

Types of updates for Android

The main purpose of updates is to eliminate various bugs and shortcomings found in older versions of software, as well as to create programs that are more efficient in terms of performance and are protected from viruses. However, not all updates are useful. In some cases, they cause various malfunctions in the OS and can lead to the loss of user data. Therefore, it is not surprising that many smartphone owners are interested in how to disable auto-updates on their devices.

According to their intended purpose, all updates for mobile devices are divided into two types:

  1. For applications downloaded from Play Market and Samsung Apps. They are produced quite often and weigh relatively little (on average 10-15 MB). However, if a large number of programs are installed on the phone, they may arrive on the gadget every day, which will negatively affect traffic.
  2. For Android. They come out no more than 3-4 times a year and occupy more than 50 MB. They allow you to eliminate errors from the previous version of the operating system, as well as improve its performance and functionality.

Disabling updates and notifications for installed software

To prevent new versions of installed games and applications from downloading to your smartphone on their own, you need to do the following:

Once you select “Never” in the auto-update settings, new versions of programs will no longer be downloaded to your phone. However, notifications about their presence will not stop bothering you in the future. To also disable the update notification, in the Play Store, go to the “Notifications” tab and uncheck the corresponding lines.

A complete refusal to update may result in the loss of functionality of a particular application. For example, updating the Smart Hub on a Samsung TV and not having it for the Smart Remote on the phone will make it impossible to remotely control the TV from an Android device.

In such cases, you can obtain the current version of the installed software manually:

Disabling operating system updates

If you want to stop searching for and installing updates not only for the software on your phone, but also for the Android OS itself, do the following:

By figuring out how to disable updates on Android Samsung Galaxy, you will prevent unauthorized downloading of not only new versions of installed programs, but also the operating system itself.

Removing installed updates

If auto-update was activated on your mobile device and when downloading the next version of a program it started to malfunction or fail, rolling back the application to its previous state will help you get out of this situation. Let's figure out how to remove an update on Android.

how? Otherwise I’ll stumble upon the same rake:3

I turned on my brain, buffed myself with “Straight Arms + 7” and??? Profit!

Instructions: flashing phones using MultiLoader

Attention!
1. The KIES program must be installed on the computer and the phone must be recognized in it normally.
2. When flashing the phone using this method, all data from the phone will be deleted! You flash your phone at your own peril and risk!

Instructions for flashing the phone firmware:

1. You must already have downloaded the firmware that you want to flash your phone with.
2. Save all data from your phone to a PC, make a backup copy, remove the SIM card and memory card.
3. Download and run MultiLoader.
(For firmware, use Multiloadera version 5.65, if there are errors, then 5.67)
4. In the program window, check the boxes: LSI - for S8500/S8530 or BRCM2133 - for S5250/S5330/S5750/S7280, Boot Change and Full Download.
5. Next, connect the firmware files:
BOOT - select the folder called BOOTFILES (usually located in the root of the folder with the firmware)
Next we connect the files:
Amss - amss.bin
Apps - apps_compressed.bin
Rsrc1 - Rsrc file with extension *.rc1
Rsrc2 - Rsrc2 file with *.rc2 extension (if there are 2 of them, select Low)
Factory FS - FactoryFs file with *.ffs extension
CSC - CSC file with the appropriate extension
SHP APP - file ShpApp.app
If the firmware package includes files like *.fota (for example bplib_S8500OpEuroCommon.fota) or *.pfs (for example PFS_S8500_Open_Europe_Common_XXJK1.pfs) - their inclusion in Multiuploader is also mandatory!
Below everything is empty

6. After you have connected all the files, disconnect your phone from the PC (if connected) and turn it off.
7. Start the phone in Download Mode (press 3 buttons at once -> Lower volume button + lock button + phone power button).
8. Connect the phone to the computer using a USB cable and click finish installing drivers (if they are not installed).
9. In MultiLoader, click on the Port Search button, after which the phone should be detected in the program (you will learn about this when the program writes READY in the line below).
10. Now click the Download button - thereby starting the firmware of the device itself.
11. When the firmware is completed, the program will notify you about this in the left window and the phone will reboot itself.
12. That's all.

Attention. If for some reason you need to exit Download Mode on your phone before flashing the firmware, disconnect the battery.

Even if during the update you receive an error at one of the stages - DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR PHONE!!!

If you still receive an error, just remove the cable from the phone without pressing anything on it, you can restart the computer. After the reboot, reload the Multiloader and start the firmware procedure from the beginning.

Today we will look at all possible questions related to Samsung Apps. Let's figure out how to install them, update them, or remove unnecessary ones. And for ease of navigation through the Smart TV menu, between applications and services, I recommend buying a computer mouse. Absolutely any mouse will do, the main thing is that it has a USB interface (although now probably all of them do). You can take the cheapest wired one, or you can take the wireless one so as not to go to the TV every time. Insert into any USB connector.

How to install new apps in Samsung Apps

So, go to the Smart TV menu (multi-colored M-shaped button):

And go to the Samsung Apps application store by clicking on the button of the same name:

Note. If you do not have this button, then you need to update the applications. To do this, click on the “Service” link in the lower right corner or press the “Tools” button on the remote control:

and in the menu that appears, select “Application Update”:

Then the TV will automatically update everything and the Samsung Apps button should appear. If it does not appear, then turn off and then turn on the TV again.

Here we have a huge number of different programs and sports programs, and information resources and a bunch of everything else. Most of them, unfortunately, are designed for watching programs in English, but there is also something for Russian-speaking viewers.

As you can see, everything is divided into categories here. You can also go to “Most Popular Applications” and there choose something suitable for yourself. To find out detailed information about the service you like, select and press “Enter” on it on the remote control or click with the mouse. The menu of this widget will open and you will see additional options. information, and here you can install it so that in the future you can watch movies or other programs using this service:

Here, on the right, you see brief information about what you can watch using this apps, and on the left, if you wish, you can install this application on your TV. To do this, click on the “Download” button, a notification will appear informing you that the installation has started:

You don't need to click anything here. We are waiting for everything to be installed. After installation, another window will appear - a notification that the installation is complete:

Now you can either immediately launch the application and see what it is like. Or you can postpone the tests until later, close this window and continue installing other applications further.

Note. It happens that the installation freezes. Or it seems like one or two have been installed, then nothing else wants to be installed. The way out of this situation is this: turn off the TV (sometimes you can even turn it off from the outlet if nothing works), and then turn it on again and everything should work fine.

How to remove unnecessary Samsung Apps applications

This can be done in two ways.

1. In the main menu of Smart TV, right-click on the unnecessary application and select “Delete”:

2. Or go to the Samsung Apps application store - go to the “Downloaded Applications” section:

Select here, in the right window, the service that you want to delete, go to its menu (press “Enter” on it or with the mouse) and click on the “Delete” item on the left:

Note. It is worth noting that you can only remove applications from third-party developers; standard ones (they are already installed from the start) cannot be removed.

I would also like to note that if you have a specific Smart TV glitch - additional applications are not installed or there is no Samsung Apps button at all, although you have updated everything, in this case a general reset of settings can help.

How to do a general reset of Smart TV settings

You can do this as follows. In the Smart TV menu, click “Tools” on the remote control or select the “Service” menu in the lower right corner of the screen and select “Settings” in the window that appears:

A confirmation window will appear where you will need to enter the PIN code to reset the settings and confirm your action. The default PIN code is 0000 (four zeros).

Naturally, after this operation, all your settings on Smart TV and installed applications will be destroyed, and everything will have to be done anew.

Well, that’s actually all I wanted to tell you today about installing and managing applications from Samsung Apps. If you have any questions, ask in the comments.

And I’ll say goodbye to you for a moment. All the best! And see you soon.

IMPORTANT!!!

Often, owners of Samsung smart TV experience certain problems, which, after some time, disappear on their own and everything starts working as it should. Here, as the closest example, is Vladimir’s comment:

and a few days later he writes that everything was decided by itself:

this is not an isolated case, so I decided to add this to the article so that you, in case of any problems, do not panic, but to begin with, just wait . There is a possibility that they released crude firmware that crashes or works with errors. And as soon as the developers see the problem and solve it, the TV will work as it should again.

I purchased a wi-fi adapter, set everything up, and automatically installed applets (Samsung Apps) using the Internet... Now they update 1-2 times a month, and then they download mainly children's applications and games. As I understand it, different applets are downloaded in different countries (which are much more interesting in their content). I would like to know if it is possible to download applets yourself and upload them via USB or the Internet? Does anyone know about such methods to update Samsung Apps??? Igor, Moscow.

Does your Samsung Android smartphone constantly update applications and programs spontaneously and you don’t know how to turn it off in the settings? In this article you will find information how to disable automatic app updates on Samsung and similar smartphones and tablets running the Android operating system.

Why do you need to disable app updates on smartphones? Mainly, of course, because of the Internet. Since Android applications and programs can weigh many megabytes or even several GB, they can download a lot of Internet traffic without your knowledge. It’s okay if you have unlimited Internet, but what happens if applications and programs, when updating, use the Internet from your phone for which you have to pay a lot of money and so on all the time. If you do not have unlimited Internet and use it, then it is better to disable automatic application updates on Samsung. If you don’t use the Internet at all, then you can simply turn off the Internet and the applications themselves will not be able to update until they gain access to the Internet. It also happens that children or themselves accidentally activate the Internet and then applications will download an update without your knowledge and can spend all your money in your account. Therefore it is worth it if possible completely disable app updates or configure Samsung so that programs and applications are updated only when you connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi. Below you will find a way to do this; any user can do it, even without experience. Please leave a review about whether the information helped prevent applications from updating on your device or not, do not forget to indicate the model of your Android smartphone or tablet.

Let's see How to turn off automatic app updates on Android Samsung. If you don’t want to turn on the Internet on your smartphone because the programs will immediately start updating and eat up your money, then connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi. If you do not have the ability to connect to a Wi-Fi network, then you can use Wi-Fi from another phone that has an unlimited tariff.

So that prevent spontaneous software updates and applications on Samsung do the following:
1) The Internet must be turned on on the smartphone or connected via Wi-Fi.
2) Open in the "Pley Market" applications.
3) Open the menu in the Pley Market in the form of three stripes or something similar, and to get to the menu you can move the screen from left to right, that is, pull the screen.
4) Find the "Settings" item. If you can't see it, scroll through the list, it may be lower.
5) Select "Auto-update applications". In the window that appears, select “Never”. Or you can select “Only via Wi-Fi”, when you connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi, the applications will automatically start updating.

Ready! Now your applications on Samsung will not be able to update automatically without your permission. You can also configure other items, such as notifications about the availability of updates or reminders about auto-updating applications.
If you need to update one selected application, then in the “My Applications” item you can enable the update yourself or select update all, then all installed applications, if there is an update, will download it.
Don't forget to leave a review and indicate the model of the device to which the specified method worked or not. Thank you and good luck!
