How to change premium tank. How to exchange a tank in World Of Tanks for another

We won’t be mistaken if we say that every tanker has premium tanks, interest in which has cooled down over time, if not completely disappeared. It seems to be standing idle in the Hangar, but it's a pity to sell it. And in the meantime, no, no, yes, and the thought will slip through to try a new premium technique, but it simply lacks in-game gold.

And here the well-known trade-in system comes to the aid of the players, but already in tanks: until January 23, 06:00 (UTC), you will be able to purchase certain new premium tanks by passing unused / uninteresting ones in the offset. Interesting? We answer in order!

Which tank can I buy on trade-in?

Some premium tanks from Tier VI to VIII are subject to exchange , but with an important caveat: you can only turn in a premium tank of an equal or lower level compared to the one you are buying.

Please note: the tank being handed over is accepted for half of its value. Rounding goes up.

Example: you want a new premium tank for 10,000 . In exchange, you want to hand over the car, which in its pure form costs 5000. Under the trade-in mechanism, the old tank will be credited for 2500 , and you will pay only 7500 extra for the new tank. The total discount for the new tank in this example is 2500 .

The discount promotions taking place in the game affect the cost of the tank being handed over and bought - this will be clearly displayed in the exchange window.

As for the exchange rules described in the image above, the system itself will tell you which tanks can be turned in, everything is as simple as possible. This is the next block.

How to exchange tanks?

You can find out which of the desired premium tanks you can buy via trade-in in three places in the game at once:

Depending on the amount of gold on the account, the tank available for exchange can be displayed in two ways:

Once you have decided, right-click on the tank and select Buy or Exchange.

  • By default, the list of rented cars is sorted by the size of the "discount" from the largest to the smallest.
  • The list also contains tanks that are currently unavailable for exchange (in battle, not repaired, in formation). When you click on them, a corresponding message will appear in the Notification Center.

After choosing a tank for exchange, two display options are possible: if the purchased vehicle is without a discount (Fig. 1) and at a discount (Fig. 2).

On the exchange screen, you can perform the usual actions: buy a slot, purchase basic ammo, train the crew. But if you don't want to buy a slot, you don't have to buy it - it remains from the tank that was traded. Great savings! In addition, even non-removable equipment on a surrendered tank is removed free of charge.

Enter the required amount in gold in the lower field, click "Exchange", and the system again displays an additional window in which it once again tells what will happen: the surrendered tank will be decommissioned, the crew will go to the Barracks, the equipment and shells will go to the Warehouse.

Confirm your consent, the gold will be debited from your account, and you will have a new tank in your Garage.

What you need to know and remember

Please read this list carefully to minimize possible misunderstandings of the trade-in system:

  • The promotion is valid for premium tanks from VI to VIII levels from January 12 06:00 (MSK) By January 23 06:00 (UTC).
  • You can only turn in tanks of the same or lower level than the one you are buying (but not lower than VI).
  • The exchange takes place on the principle of "1 to 1".
  • Prices are subject to discounts: if there is a discount on the returned tank, the savings will be less!
  • Shells, equipment and equipment on the surrendered tank are unloaded to the Warehouse free of charge.
  • Camouflage, emblems and inscriptions are tied to a specific tank, so if you sell (or in this case exchange) this tank, they remain in the Warehouse. You will be able to use them in the future only if you purchase this tank again.
  • The crew of the surrendered tank landed in the Barracks. If there are no free beds, there will be no exchange!
  • It is impossible to restore a surrendered tank for credits.
  • A new slot for a purchased tank can not be purchased.
  • The exchange occurs only when the operation is confirmed again (where it is told what will happen to the tank) - before that, the exchange can be absolutely safely interrupted, and nothing will happen.

Happy shopping and happy gaming!

Users of the computer game World of Tanks have received the long-awaited opportunity to exchange tanks through the Trade-In system. Now any player has a chance to get another tank if he did not like the one he bought earlier. Of course, the system has its pros and cons, as well as a number of mandatory criteria. If you have long wanted to return the tank you did not like, now is the time. Please note that you can only exchange your tank for tanks with a level lower or equal to yours. You cannot get a tank of a higher level than you trade in. Also, only tanks from the sixth level and above, up to the tenth, are suitable for the exchange. Find out more about the ways to exchange tanks in the game HERE, as well as the conditions for this feature.

What tanks can be exchanged in World of Tanks

As mentioned above, any premium tank that is equal to the sixth level or higher is suitable. In addition, you can simply get the game currency - gold instead of exchanging tanks.

  • The price of the tank is also affected by the cost at which you purchased it. If at that moment there was a discount on it, this will also be counted.
  • Do not forget that you cannot exchange your tank for a level higher.
  • You can only exchange one tank for one new one. You cannot exchange one of your tanks for two simpler ones.
  • All equipment that is installed on the tank, its crew are automatically unloaded and stored in your hangar inside the game.
  • Unfortunately, you give away all kinds of emblems, stickers, inscriptions and camouflage of the tank along with it. All these elements are tied directly to the tank, so you can no longer use them. However, if you buy this model again, all these parts will become available to you again.
  • The exchange takes place by your double consent. If you confirmed the operation once, but did not do it the second time, then the exchange will not take place and your tank will remain in the hangar.
  • In addition, you do not need to purchase a new place in the hangar for the tank. After all, you give one and receive another. This way, no new location is required and you save gold.

It should be borne in mind that the entire Trade-In system does not suit absolutely all players: weigh your decision and evaluate whether it is profitable for you to make such an exchange, since you will have to pay extra gold for most exchanges. The price will be less than buying a new tank, however, if you add up the sum of both tanks: the one you are exchanging and the amount of the surcharge for the new one, it turns out that you are overpaying. It is better to do this in the case when you do not need one of the premium tanks at all, and you were going to buy another for a long time. In simple terms, this is a good discount on a new tank to replace one of yours.

How to change tanks in World of Tanks

  • There are three places in the menu of the HERE game client where you can instantly exchange tanks. Log in to the system and go to the server to see all these places.

  • At the top are tabs such as Research and Warehouse. It is these two sections that you will need now.

  • Go to the "Research" tab. If you have premium tanks, then select the research branch in which it is located. Next to the premium tank there will be a small icon, clicking on which will open the exchange window through Trade In.

  • Upon entering the normal shop inside the client, premium tanks that can be traded will have the inscription “Available for trade” on them. From here you will also be taken to the same Trade In window.

  • During the purchase of a premium tank, if you have another one suitable for this procedure, you will also see a notification in the form of a small button on the screen.

  • Please note that transactions are possible only if you have the required amount of gold in your World of Tanks account, as well as tanks available for exchange. If you do not have such tanks, then most likely you will not even see the buttons for making an exchange.
  • Once you fund your wallet with gold, the option will open up for you.
  • Below is an approximate table with the amount of additional payment for premium tanks, if you still decide to get them by exchanging them in Trade In through World of Tanks.

January 12 Wargaming released micropatch 9.17.02, which has a new thing for players like Trade-in. The system is in tanks for the first time and will be available from 12 to 23 January 06:00 (MSK). What is it and how to use it, we will try to tell in detail.

What is Trade-In in World of Tanks

Many tankers have premium vehicles in the hangar, gathering dust, which were either bought out of stupidity, or got bored, or, due to the changes made, became uncomfortable for the game. Our favorite company meets such people and offers to exchange this tank for half of its cost in gold equivalent, which will be taken into account when buying a new premium.

For example, it works like this: You are going to buy T34, the cost of which is 12 000 , and you have Lowe in your hangar. So here's a lion exchange for 6250 gold, add to this the missing amount (in our case 5750) and purchase T34. Simply put, you are selling your premium tank for half its price, but you must buy a new one.

Everything seems to be clear, but there are some nuances here:
You can only turn in a premium tank of an equal or lower level compared to the one you are buying.
Not all cars can be rented / bought

What are the features of the sale?

  • Other ongoing promotions affect the cost of both the leased and purchased tank;
  • The exchange takes place on the principle of "1 to 1";
  • It is impossible to restore a surrendered tank for credits;
  • A new slot for a purchased tank can not be purchased.
Whether this promotion is a new way for the company to make money or is it a rush to meet the players - it's up to you, but we wish you new victories on the battlefields!
